Full Taxonomy
Kingdom: Animalia
Phylum: Arthropoda
Class: Arachnida
Order: Amblypygi
Family: Phrynidae
Genus: Damon
Species: variegatusRange: Kenya and Tanzania
I feed them on small arthropods such as crickets and keep them 70 to 80 deg F and 60% or so humidity in plastic containers with ventilation holes and a damp peat moss and leaf litter substrate, with a piece of cork bark arranged vertically on which they sit .They much prefer this vertical orientation and raely if ever are seen on the ground.
Tanzanian tailless whipscorpions are not common in the hobby
They are occasionally imported from Africa in increasing numbers. Damon has proven to be quite prolific in captivity and the babies thrive and grow quickly when kept properly.Hopefully, with proper understanding and care, this species will become a more frequently kept and bred addition to the hobby
